This A-line 1900s French dress has been hand made from beautiful natural linen.

Hand sewn on the chest in tiny red cross stitch are the initials 'LR'.

All of the seams are neatly seamed by hand and there are are hand stitched eyelet buttonholes for the cotton cord which would have gathered the neckline but is no longer attached.

In excellent condition, this antique dress would have originally been worn as a nightdress and would make a lovely cool summer dress.

The linen is raw and unbleached, with a creamy oatmeal colour and lots of texture which will continue to soften and whiten as it ages.

A lovely piece of French historical clothing.
