These pretty vintage wooden clogs are in fact coin banks: each one has a slot in the top and can be opened with a screwdriver.
The two hand painted clogs are in excellent vintage condition, with just a little wear to the varnished surface.
On the front they have matching posies of flowers, with white daisies, red poppies and yellow leaves.
There is an ancient tradition of clog-wearing in France going back hundreds of years. These came from a large collection of ornamental souvenir clogs which were sourced from all over France.
