This listing is for two pieces of vintage black trimming and a small collection of vintage black buttons including 8 black glass buttons. The wide section of salvaged trim is a small piece of richly embellished lace with lovely picot edging details which may date from the late 19th Century. The second piece of trim measures 2cm in width and is 2 metres long. The buttons date from the 1950s and include 6 matching facetted black glass and two larger glass buttons with pretty flower motifs. The two-tone buttons have a curious red tone when viewed in bright light but would otherwise appear to be black. All of the items are in good vintage condition: there are some thread scraps still attached to the wide lace but no damage I have noted.
All of my button and lace collections are packaged with minimal plastic content: the buttons are packaged in small kraft paper envelopes which are hand stamped and machine-sewn by me and the whole collection is sent in a cardboard expandable envelope. Please consider re-using these materials if you can: the earth sings its thanks in flowers!
